Born September 22 1977 in Kansas City, Kansas. Josh attended Stony Point South Elementary through the fourth grade when he transferred to Basehor. This i where he met Jeremy McDowell, co-owner and director of Midwest Sports Productions, and became long time friends. Josh started t-Ball at age six with Coach Dennis Patterson Josh continue to play on Patteron's team until he was fifteen, skipping only one year and playing for Kan-Gas for Coach Mike McDowell. Josh traveled throughout the years to Wichita, Tulsa, Omaha, Paducah, KY, all over Missouri. Josh made varsity baseball team as a freshman and played all four years at Basehor-Linwood High School, earning 1st Team All League, 2nd Team All Area, 1st Team All area and 2nd Team All State. Josh continued his baseball career as he went on to play at Longview Community College.
Josh's love of the game started at an early, when at the age of three he started watching the Cubs every afternoon they had a game, he also loved the Red Sox, and eventually the Kansas City Royals (who he never gave up on). His all time favorite player was Roger Clemens. Josh always made it his goal to emulate Clemens pitching style. Josh was also a true Chiefs fan. He was a season ticket holder for several years. KU basketball was another favorite team of Josh's as well. Overall, Josh supported a variety of teams and his passion for sports continues to inspire the staff at Midwest Sports Productions.
His passion is best demonstrated by the night of his eighth grade graduation, he also had a baseball game. He was given his choice and of course he picked baseball, missing the graduation.
Truly the most memorable experience was when Josh was a senior and Jeremy was a freshman, first game of the season for Basehor -Linwood baseball, first time in their lives that they were on the same team and start of the game they walked onto the field together. Josh's Dad, Jerry, got to the field two hours early to get a good seat, they had not even marked the field. One proud Dad.
Josh loved family get to gathers, and his nephew and nieces loved "funny Uncle Josh".
